Last year, I collaborated with a British production company to film a video that was part of a series about unusual jobs. As a professional sex toy tester based in Barcelona, Spain, I definitely qualified.
During the filming, I answered all the typical questions that one might expect to hear at a job interview. I was asked about career prospects, salary and promotion expectations, where I see myself in five years and so on.
I was thrilled to talk about my job from a work perspective, as many people don’t consider that I even have a ‘real job’. Just because something is fun, it doesn’t make it trivial and pointless. I believe that raising orgasmic awareness is a very serious and necessary topic.
Despite this, in real life, I never had to have a job interview in order to become a professional sex toy tester. Instead, I created it myself through my passion, vision, hard work, self-belief and perseverance. I believe that anyone can create their own dream job if they really want to and they are willing to put the hard work in.
I didn’t always think like this, however.
At University, I was conditioned to believe that what your CV said about you mattered. You had to do things that would impress a future employer. For example, we were encouraged to be part of a team, to do voluntary work and so on. In addition, having unjustifiable ‘gaps’ in your CV was also frowned upon.
Fortunately, I have learned that I don’t need to impress anyone through my professional endeavours. This is because the only opinion of me that matters is my own, and I would encourage anyone to let go of worrying about what others think. It’s extremely liberating. In other words: don’t let other people’s opinions hold you back. For me, it gave me the freedom and courage to devote my life to raising orgasmic awareness. I would never have chosen this path if I was worried about what others thought of me.
Anyway, back to the orgasmic stuff.
In this video, I show some typical tasks of being a professional sex toy tester such as reviewing Gigi 2, the world’s bestselling G spot massager from LELO. The review process involves waiting at home for the product to be delivered, unboxing it, testing it and video editing. I also show my extensive collection of sex toys.
So do you have what it takes to be a sex toy tester?

When you opened the box and said “oh wow”, were you paying homage to Sharon Stone in the film Basic Instinct?
