One of the best known calendars is the Pirelli one and for 2011 it features a famous redhead, Julianne Moore, on its cover. If you want a redhead on every page, decorating every month with a unique beauty and a distinctive fetish style then there is only one real choice.
It was a real treat for me to look back at all the photo-sets that I’ve featured in over the last year so that I could choose twelve images to represent my best work for the next twelve months. My calendar features a mixture of my most popular pictures and some astounding ones that are totally new. They share one thing, though, and that is the care with which they’ve been selected to fit in with the months of the forthcoming year.
January is a time for New Year’s resolutions and self discipline. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this that one of the most powerful images shot of me. In a glistening corset and wearing PVC, elbow-length gloves, this definitive outfit is a real statement of fetish intent.
February predicts the celebration of St Valentine’s day. On a surface of twisted bedlinen, you will find me naked and longing for the arrival of my lover. With my fiery red hair spread out and my dreamy face fixed in an ambiguous mood, my hand clasps the thorny stems of expectant roses.
March promises the gradual arrival of a better climate but still throws up the occasional surprise of late winter weather. As a country girl, pushing her way along a path that passes through Mont Juic, I have to hold my hair away from my face as an unexpected breeze takes me by surprise in my thin blouse and cut-off denim shorts. In April I’m still hoping to put my warmer clothing away in its cupboard for another year but I’m reluctant to do it too soon; not until I’m really sure. Caught between a warm collar and a reassuring hat, my glistening, pouting lips yearn for the first signs of real heat.
May is the month when I celebrate my birthday and I really look forward to it. When I was younger, birthday parties meant dressing up, being blindfolded and playing “pin the tail on the donkey”. Nowadays, I have different uses for blindfolds and the games I play with them are fun in a different way.
June 21st is the official beginning of Summer and, for me, it’s normal to imagine the nearness of a well-earned holiday, swimming pools and playful games with unsuspecting friends and mouthfuls of cool water.
July is the reality of holidays, leisure-time and real sun after a persistent feeling of eager anticipation. My clothes can really disappear and I can become playful, provocative and teasing with my variety of different looks and attractive characters. With my hat and cane I can remember my education in Paris and re-live those moments as I pose and dance while daring you not to look at the result.
August is, traditionally, the hottest time of the year and to mark that fact I chose an image that warms the mind with its background of intense yellow and a foreground of “just out of bed” hair, full lips and summer nakedness. The clothes are off and my body is allowed to display its charms the way it was always meant to.
September brings the first rumours of Autumn and in this beautiful portrait you can appreciate my intense red hair and its spirals of urgent curls set against the orange of a fading day and the imminent approach of cooling temperatures, falling leaves and richer palettes of broken colours.
October reminds us of Halloween and dressing up in a colourful variety of costumes. Pirates, vampires and hobgoblins; all are welcome at our doors, but only for one night. It was at a Halloween party that I dressed up as Catwoman and attracted more than just casual attention. Look at this picture and understand why.
November puts me in the mind of Scorpio and reminds me of the photo-shoot that produced this wonderful image. I was shocked and amazed at the results and this picture illustrates exactly what I mean. Inside it, I seem totally innocent but Look a little closer and you will find that there’s a sting in my tail.
December finds us at the end of the year and it seems only right to declare that fact by presenting you with rear-end to remember. Get ready to pop a cork or two and drink a toast to the final month of 2011. Cheers! Your good health! Bottoms up!
This year I’ve fulfilled many of my own wishes and realised more than a few of my dreams. I’ve written my first book, LOVE ME LIKE YOU HATE ME, seen it published in five languages and made my acting debut in a short film of the same name. I’ve become a regular, monthly contributor to GQ Spain in which I have my own column. I’m also about to make my first appearance on national Spanish television as the subject of my own show. The list just goes on and on.
My own calendar is a special achievement, though. Seeing it in print and looking at every page is like being a cover girl of my own magazine for twelve months in a row.
Many stars have their own calendars.
Bella,
con un nido de cobre enmarañado
en tu cabeza…
